Purchase of the new RIB “Spraoi” with the assistance of BIM
We would like to give a big shout out to BIM, all of their staff and to our local FLAG officer for their assistance in enabling the purchase of the 11m Sea Safari RIB “Spraoi” from RedBay Boats in Co. Antrim.
The vessel was purchased by the local Dingle company Alitak Teoranta with the assistance of a generous 50% grant provided by BIM through the “Brexit Blue Economy Enterprise Scheme” which was fully funded by the EU.
The vessel, which carries 12 passengers, will provide sightseeing tours around Dingle Bay and the Blasket Islands and will be operated by Dingle Boat Tours.
The addition of this vessel to the passenger boat fleet in Dingle will further enhance the local marine tourism experience and provide much appreciated employment for local seafarers and support staff.
